The Commissioner for the 2030 Agenda, Barcelona de Serveis Municipals (B:SM) and Mobile World Capital Barcelona are launching two challenges as part of the InnovAcció 2030 programme to fuel the transition towards electric vehicles in the city.

The two challenges are geared towards furthering the efficient and sustainable development of the Endolla network, speeding up the installation of easy-to-use charging points to obtain a higher turnover of vehicles.

An economic, easy-to-maintain charging point

The first project promotes the production of an economic charging point that can be activated using the smou app. While maintaining competitive quality and technical requisites, the aim is to facilitate the design of a cheap charger model which is easy to install and has low maintenance costs. Five of these chargers will be installed and operated as a pilot project in the Endolla network.

Cheaper charging points will help speed up the development of electromobility in the city in a smart, sustainable and efficient way.

A charging point that can be moved between different parking spaces

The aim of the second challenge is to develop a flexible, mobile charging point. The aim is to provide cover for various parking spaces without the need for the charger to be in a single fixed location, and for users to interact with it using the smou app. The pilot project will operate in one of the BSM car parks with Endolla charging points.

A solution of this type is better suited to the demand for electric vehicle charging in rotational parking spaces, offering a more flexible service.

By participating in these new projects, the Endolla network continues to lead sustainable electric mobility in Barcelona.
